The BODW Gala Dinner cum DFA Awards Presentation Ceremony concluded with resounding applause on 4 Dec. Global design luminaries and design leaders gathered to celebrate the recipients of the four highest honours of the DFA Awards, who have significantly contributed to the Asian design community and society through their innovation and visionary spirit.

At the ceremony, the esteemed awards were presented by Ms. SUM Fong Kwang, Vivian, JP, Permanent Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR to this year’s honourees: Mr. Kengo KUMA received the DFA Lifetime Achievement Award, Mr. Tino KWAN was recognized with the DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer, and Mr. Eisuke TACHIKAWA was celebrated as the DFA Designer of the Year. Meanwhile, Mr. Kikuo IBE, the DFA Design Leadership Award winner had delivered his heartfelt gratitude from overseas through a video.

These prestigious awards not only highlight the remarkable accomplishments of the design leaders but also serve as inspiration for the next generation, driving progress and fostering growth within the Asian creative landscape!
