【DFA: Design for Asia @ BODW Summit】 Design for People . Design for the Betterment of City
Thanks to DFA Awards winners for sharing inspiring experience and design insights behind their projects at the BODW summit.
Yesterday (6 Dec), Andrew Dent, the material expert from UK elaborated how to make use of “materials” in design and manufacturing; Yukiharu Takematsu and Shoji Oshio, architects from Japan shared different design stories – how to design and build a state-of-art running stadium with training venue for athletes and the physically challenged, as well as how to connect to the lost loved ones through design; graphic designer Izen Tu stirred the beauty of Alishan Taiwan and the tea culture in design; two local emerging groups, food designer Joshua Ng, architects Ida Sze & Billy Chan co-shared cases combining food design, spatial design and creativity. At finale, the over-30-year-experience architect, Simon Bee from UK, brought audience a fantastic journey through the design of Terminal 4, Changi Airport in Singapore.
