The DFA Awards landed Tainan yesterday with an exhibition, and kicked off by a design dialogue, by collaboration of Hayashi Department Store at her 4th re-opening anniversary.
The moderator David Lo shared that the design thinking and innovation could create social values for a better life, while Lin Jung Kuo considered the solution and uniqueness as the first second priority of designs; and if a design could combine both of these, it would be a good design. Jamei Chen shared that other than cuttings and materials, the spacial design and five-senses experience behind an apparel is the important design elements; Comma Leung also commented that a little in design could improve a life.
The DFA Awards exhibition in Tainan featuring the DFA Design for Asia Awards 2017 winners or projects by 2016/17 DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award winners will be running from now till 1 Jul.
Coming next, the Awards will hold a design dialogue in Hong Kong on 12 June. Stay tuned!
