Design for Asia: DFA Awards 2016
The best designers sense, understand, innovate, and influence. Their designs reflect conscious observations of the individual, society, nature, and culture, and are the results of extended periods of contemplation, research, and development. The Hong Kong Design Centre has run these annual awards since 2003 as a way to inspire both the entrants and the judges to articulate the designs that Asia needs, to commend design excellence, and to celebrate the people and their projects that have had a significant impact in Asia. This book features the award winners for 2016, witnessing the new face of design for Asia in terms of science and technology innovation, environmental experiences, social concerns, and humanitarian issues.
