The Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award (HKYDTA) supports and cultivates emerging design practitioners and design graduates aged 35 or below, as a recognition of the young talent in the Hong Kong design industry. With the sponsorship of Create Hong Kong, the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Hong Kong Design Institute, award winners have had the opportunity to work with renowned design companies abroad or to study overseas. These six to twelve month exchanges with some of the brightest minds in the world have been invaluable for the young designers. Awardees can develop their skills, unleash their potential, and bring different ideas from overseas countries back to Hong Kong.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Hong Kong permanent residents aged 35 or below.
Sponsorship: Awardees may receive a sponsorship up to HK$500,000 or HK$250,000 to undergo oversea work/study attachment for 6-12 months.
