Awardees of the DFA Design for Asia Awards and DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award (DFAHKYDTA) were congratulated by our Guest of Honour Mrs Janet CHU, Assistant Head of Create Hong Kong, Mr Eric YIM, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors of HKDC and international design leaders including Ms Benedetta TAGLIABUE, Mr Jorge PENSI, Ms Chelsia LAU,and so forth at PMQ on 2 December.

On 4 December, our Guest of Honour Ms Susie HO, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Creative Industries) of the Government of the HKSAR, presented three highest accolades: DFA Lifetime Achievement Award (DFALAA) to Mr Pinky LAI, DFA Design Leadership Award (DFADLA) to Mr Taha BOUQBIB, and DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer (DFAWOCD) to Mr Chi Wing LO. The award presentation was witnessed by industry leaders, political and business celebrities from around the world at the Gala Dinner of Business of Design Week (BODW) in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“The DFA Awards is not just an annual design event for Asia – it has evolved into an influential discussion platform for Asia and international designers alike. Together, we can create world-changing design in Asia and for Asia, yet also for all,” said Freeman Lau, Vice Chairman of HKDC’s Board of Directors.
