We’re thrilled to reunite with Japan’s design community at Tokyo Midtown Design Hub on 30 May! This year’s “Design Sharing – Tokyo”, supported by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), brought fresh insights on how materials and colours reshape the infinite possibilities of design from our DFA Design for Asia Awards (DFAA) winners!

On the sharing themed on “Materials & Colours Matter on Design”, Mr. Norito Shinmura (DFAA 2024 Gold & Bronze Award) revealed how his award-winning works designed for Muji blends craftsmanship with organic materials; Mr. Satoshi Umeno (DFAA 2024 Gold Award) shared how combination of materials improves the user experience while ensuring the practicality, transcending traditional production methods and industries to achieve his remarkable design.
